The true measure of any choir isn’t just found in the music it creates, but in the people whose lives it touches.
Whether it’s someone who sings with us every week, a charity we’ve supported, an organisation we’ve worked alongside, a community leader or a member of the audience who has watched us perform, every voice tells part of our story.
We’re proud to share just a few of those voices with you.
“Alnwick Allstars is much more than a choir. It’s a welcoming community of like-minded people where friendship, music and shared purpose come together. Through the joy of singing, the choir enriches lives, brings people together and lifts the spirits of audiences across our community. Their enthusiasm, talent and dedication are an inspiration, proving that music has the power to connect us all.”

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

“After finding myself unable to work due to health issues, I wanted to fill my time doing something I love, and I love nothing more than singing. I joined Morpeth Allstars in January and have since joined Alnwick Allstars too. Both choirs gave me such a warm welcome, and I’ve made friends I know will last a lifetime. Rehearsals and performances are the highlight of my week. Lin is an absolute joy to be around, and everyone leaves on a massive high after every rehearsal. I absolutely love it.”

“It really has been such a fantastic adventure. Ever since I joined Village Voices, I’ve become more confident in my singing and learned so much. I’m now part of Alnwick Allstars and I’m loving it. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done.”

“When I joined Morpeth Allstars, I didn’t know anyone locally and, if I’m honest, I was feeling quite lonely. I thought I was just joining a choir, but I found so much more. I’ve found friendship, laughter, confidence and people who genuinely care about one another. I love being one small piece of a much bigger jigsaw. On my own, I’m just one piece, but together we create something truly beautiful. Every rehearsal and every performance reminds me just how lucky I am to be part of it.”
